AMAS XVI – 16th Biennial Symposium
Please see here for full details
Introduction
The Australian Microbeam Analysis Society cordially invites you to Brisbane in 2024 for the sixteenth biennial AMAS symposium, to be held at the Queensland University of Technology, in Brisbane, Queensland.
Purpose
The aim of the symposium is to provide a forum for participants to discuss microanalysis and imaging, with emphasis on applications, practical solutions, and recent advancements in techniques.
Contributions
We strongly encourage you to present recent work using microscopy, microanalytical and microdiffraction techniques. The success of the meeting is entirely dependent on the quality (and quantity) of presentations.
Possible themes for special sessions in this symposium include:
- Microanalysis in advanced manufacturing, urban mining, or energy storage,
- Microanalysis at cryogenic temperatures,
- Advances in automated mineralogy,
- Lasers and ion-source mass spectrometry in microanalysis and imaging,
- The future of microanalysis instrumentation, and;
- Facility management.
Oral presentations
It is expected that all contributed presentations at AMAS XVI will take the form of an oral presentation with a 15-20 minute duration (including questions).
Workshops
A series of workshops prior to the symposium have been arranged to review and discuss the state of the art in analytical microscopy and microanalysis.
