The 4th CryOZ Symposium will be hosted by the University of Queensland on the 23rd and 24th of November 2023. The symposium will feature talks from researchers and industry leaders regarding the development and application of cryo-electron microscopy techniques to answer fundamental biological questions. CryOz 2023 will be the first in-person CryOZ meeting since 2019.
This symposium is a great opportunity for students, postdocs, professional staff, ECRs, MCRs and senior investigators to interact, discuss and present the latest advancements in Cryo-EM in Australia. There will be poster sessions and speaking slots available.
There are 6 session themes to run over both days of talks, including Structural Biology (Single Particle), Cryo-Electron Tomography, Micro-ED, Recent Frontiers in CryoEM, Sample Preparation and Complementary Approaches and Developments in Image Processing.
Oral and poster presentations
CryOz2023 is accepting abstracts for oral and poster presentation. Speaker slots will be limited. Abstract submission deadline October 16, 2023.
The conference will provide numerous workshops for attendees to learn the latest techniques in and around cryoEM and structural biology. To date there have been workshop submissions for Cryo-Correlative Light and Electron Microscopy, Auto-collections for single particle averaging with Serial EM, Cryo-Electron tomography with SerialEM and, Micro-Electron diffraction / 3D ED.
CryOZ will be offering a limited number of bursaries to attend the symposium. Each bursary recipient will provided with $500 to attend the symposium. Applicants should submit the form found here.
