Call for Science Meets Parliament Participants

Every year, Science and Technology Australia (STA) organises an event called Science Meets Parliament, which creates an opportunity for scientists and politicians to meet and exchange ideas. As AMMS is a member of STA, two AMMS members get the opportunity to attend Science Meets Parliament. This is a great opportunity to talk to fellow scientists, policy makers and parliamentarians about your research and your ideas for the future of science in Australia. To assist those AMMS members who will be attending, AMMS will reimburse the cost of the registration fee. Participants will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs.

Participating in Science Meets Parliament is an excellent career development activity. Those who have attended in the past range from early career researchers through to lab directors and others. Everyone who has attended has enjoyed the experience. If you are interested in attending please contact the AMMS Secretary as soon as possible (and by March 1 at the latest). Please do not register for the event until you have received confirmation from AMMS that you have been allocated one of our registrations.
